What You'll Do:- Build a platform for AI engineers and researchers to iterate on data to improve their models- Be creative in problem solving, bringing your own experience in AI to the table- Support customer success - everyone on the team plays a role here, so count on some time helping customers use and build on Oxen.- Be part leader and part Individual Contributor- Ship, ship, ship code to production- Make architecture, process, and tool decisions- Drive technical projects and provide leadership in a fast-paced environment- Overall planning, execution and success of technical projects- Work closely with product and design to ensure we’re efficiently building the best products- Help in building our team and establishing high engineering standards- Work closely with the rest of the team, especially engineering and product, including having a direct impact on the product roadmap- Own projects from design, through development, to production- Contribute to development of our web application- Craft clean, readable, performant, secure, and documented code- Perform QA on your own work, write automated tests, and optimize your code- Do code reviews to maintain high code quality, while also iterating quickly What You Have (Skills & Experience):- You have built and deployed an application powered by AI into the real world.- You are excited to learn new technologies and tackle new problems that pop up in the AI space.- You have been a software engineer for 5+ years- You have excitement for taking on fast-moving challenges- You have a passion for machine learning and the possibilities of data- You have pride in delivering exceptional work- You have professional experience with relevant languages like Rust and Elixir, Javascript, React, and Phoenix, as well as Large Data Storage and Management systems- You enjoy optimizing and making your code as performant and fast as humanly possible- You have experience creating reliable REST APIs- You love creating tooling other developers can build on top of- You have experience with Test-driven development- You have authorization to work in the U.S. Nice to have:- You’re a tinkerer, a hacker, an experimenter- Your GitHub/portfolio has an interesting AI project on it- You’ve contributed to open source- A BS (or higher) in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent technical experience
